Chapter 4 Summary
- This chapter starts with a revelation by Krishna that He told this Gita to Sun God. It was passed on to his dynasty, the Ravi Kulam, but lost in time.
- Everyone has many births; Krishna remembers all but others will not be remembering.
- Lord said that in every birth He comes in the same divine body. And whenever there is a decline in religious practice and irreligion is on the rise, He comes down Himself.
- In every millennium, He appears to deliver the pious and finish the bad people and to re-establish religious principles.
- One who really believes that His birth and activities are divine, will not get rebirth.
- No work binds Krishna because He does things in an unattached way.
- If we do that way dedicating all results to Him, it is akarma and many great people also make errors in the judgement of what is akarma.
- We must be able to find inaction in action and vice versa. We should be happy with results which come on their own.
- A man must approach a spiritual master, a self-realized soul and doing service to him, should seek knowledge humbly.
- Pure divine knowledge of a person burns off all material reactions, but doubting souls have no happiness at all. [1 m 30 secs]
